Not a ROM hack — no GBA emulator
The developer writes that the first third of Hoenn was “built from scratch” in Unreal Engine 5, using Visual Studio, Blender and Aseprite. That makes Gamma Emerald a standalone Windows program, not a patched GBA ROM. You do not need a GBA emulator, BIOS, or the original Emerald ROM.
The official page currently distributes
gamma-emerald-ea-windows.zip (1.4 GB) and does not list a

How this guide verifies claims
- Developer statements and download metadata are treated as primary sources.
- Player comments are labeled as community reports, not official support.
- Absence from an official page is described as “not listed,” not proof that a feature can never exist.
- When sources conflict, the developer’s current public page takes precedence.
