Gamma Emerald beginner guide
This page answers “Gamma Emerald guide” with developer-confirmed systems for Early Access v1.11.0. It does not invent a step-by-step walkthrough that this site has not playtested.
Current scope: Littleroot Town to Mauville City; three gyms; about 3–6 hours. Primary source: developer Early Access page .
Before you start
- The official build is a Windows 10/11 64-bit ZIP.
- Early Access runs from Littleroot Town through Mauville City.
- The developer estimates 3–6 hours and three gyms.
- Everything past Mauville is still in development.
Progression and rematches
The three developer-confirmed badges are Stone, Knuckle, and Dynamo. After completing the available Early Access content and earning all three, the rematch NPC on the second floor of Pokémon Centers can rematch trainers.
Systems that change how you play
- Automatic HMs: once obtained, interact with the obstacle instead of teaching an HM.
- TMs: teach moves from the Change Move screen, not the bag.
- Day and night: lighting changes in real time and encounters may vary by time.
- Berries: planting follows the real-world clock and takes about eight hours.
- Storage: PC and Box access is available on the go.
- Trading: peer-to-peer trading is included.
- Battles: this Early Access build supports single battles only.
What remains unverified here
This site has not published encounter tables, trainer teams, starter rankings, shiny odds, mystery gifts, or a turn-by-turn walkthrough. Those topics require first-hand testing against the current build.
